I’m a personal trainer with 10+ years experience in the industry, and for the last 2 years I’ve run Back to Basics — training built specifically for people with hypermobility, EDS, and chronic pain. As someone with hypermobility (which came with constant undiagnosed pain for over 10 years) I don’t train the whole body first — I train the breath, then the joints; protect them, then build up from there. Strengthening from the inside out.
My PT certification comes from the International Sports Sciences Association, with additional courses through the Ehlers-Danlos Society and Chimera Health specializing in hypermobility. With more courses to come!
My approach moves in stages — breathwork and biofeedback first. Then mat work, standing, bands, machines, and finally to free weights — only adding load once the joint can handle it.
No rushing, no guessing.
If you’ve been told to “just push through” and it hasn’t worked, this is different.
This is personal training made personal.
